The three-stage flow
- Internal review (operator-side). Most operators run a 12-72 hour review on the first withdrawal, especially after KYC.
- Payment-rail processing. UPI is same-day to 24 hours. NEFT/IMPS to bank accounts is 1-3 business days. Wallet-based withdrawals (Paytm, etc.) are usually instant.
- Bank posting. The receiving bank posts the credit. Most banks process inbound NEFT within hours of receiving.

Withdrawal methods, ranked by speed
| Method | Speed | Min | Max | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UPI | Same-day to 24h | ₹100 | ₹200,000 / day | Most operators cap UPI at ₹100-200k per day |
| IMPS / NEFT | 1-3 business days | ₹500 | No operator cap | Slower but holds higher limits |
| Paytm / wallet | Instant to 1h | ₹100 | ₹100,000 / day | Usually capped below bank level |
| Bank account (NEFT) | 1-3 business days | ₹500 | No operator cap | Default for large withdrawals |
What holds up a withdrawal (and what to do)
- KYC mismatch. Name on PAN or Aadhaar does not match bank account name. Fix by updating KYC documents or matching bank account name.
- Bonus not played through. A bonus credit must be played through the stated wager before withdrawal. Wait until the bonus is cleared.
- First-time withdrawal. Most operators run extra review on first withdrawal. Expect 24-72 hours for the first one; subsequent ones are faster.
- Bank-side delay. NEFT is processed in hourly batches. Transfers outside banking hours post next morning. Weekends and bank holidays add a day.
- Daily cap. UPI rails cap daily inbound credit at the bank level. Split large withdrawals across two days if you hit the cap.
Tax treatment of fantasy winnings
Indian tax rules treat net winnings from online fantasy sports as income from other sources. Operators above a threshold deduct TDS before crediting the withdrawal; players declare the gross winning in their return. The thresholds and rates change with each Finance Act; verify the current number before settling.

Extended withdrawals playbook
A withdrawal flow has three stages: internal review, payment-rail processing, and bank posting. Each stage has a likely time-window. The flow is predictable when each stage is clean; the flow stalls when one stage needs additional verification.
The first-withdrawal review
The first withdrawal usually has a 12-72 hour review window. The review is the operator's KYC verification: matching the registered name against the bank account, matching the address against the ID, verifying the payment instrument. The review is faster when the KYC was completed cleanly; the review is longer when there is a name mismatch or a document-side issue.
The recurring-withdrawal window
Subsequent withdrawals to the same bank account usually complete within 24 hours. The window shortens because the KYC has cleared. The window can extend to 48-72 hours during a high-volume period (e.g. after an IPL week); the operator's queue depth scales with withdrawal volume.
Payment-rail speed
UPI is the fastest rail: most withdrawals complete within minutes to a few hours. NEFT and IMPS are next: 1-3 business days depending on the bank. Paytm and other wallets are usually instant to 1 hour. The rail speed is upstream of the bank's posting speed; the bank then posts the credit on its own schedule.
Daily and weekly caps
UPI rails cap daily inbound credit at the bank level. Most banks cap inbound UPI at ₹100,000-200,000 per day. NEFT and IMPS usually have no operator-level cap; the bank-level cap is rare. Players who withdraw large amounts should split across two days to avoid the daily cap.
Tax treatment
Indian tax rules treat net winnings from online fantasy sports as income from other sources. Operators above a threshold deduct TDS before crediting the withdrawal. The TDS appears in Form 26AS and should be reflected in the ITR. Verify the current threshold and rate; the rules change with each Finance Act.
Failure patterns
A withdrawal can fail for: a KYC mismatch, an unplayed bonus, a bank-side delay, a daily cap, or a payment-rail error. Each failure has a fix; the fix usually requires no more than 10 minutes of work and a clean re-attempt. Track the failure history; recurring failures with the same platform are a yellow flag.
Bonus play-through and withdrawal
A bonus credit must be played through before withdrawal. The play-through is the operator's protection against play-through evasion (claim bonus, withdraw without playing). Most players clear the play-through within a few days of normal play; the clear rate is faster on high-volume players.
Privacy discipline on withdrawal
Mask account numbers and CVV when sharing screenshots with support. The support team can resolve the issue with masked versions; full numbers add nothing actionable. A disciplined privacy posture also protects you from social-engineering attacks on the support channel.
Long-term withdrawal hygiene
Long-term players withdraw on a fixed cadence (weekly or bi-weekly). The cadence keeps the bank roll manageable, the bonus play-through active, and the support ticket history clean. A frequent small-withdrawal pattern is faster than a few large withdrawals; the bank cap is the reason.
